Live: Caspian at The Masonic Lodge
Post-rock band Caspian headlined the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Thursday night in support of new album On Circles. The band’s first release in four years, On Circles was produced by Will Yip and released via Triple Crown Records. Opening the show to a nearly packed audience was experimental indie pop band The Velvet Teen.
Caspian devoted most of their set to the new album, opening with the soaring and jazzy “Wildblood” and diving straight into lead single “Flowers of Light.” The band’s riff-heavy new material weaved seamlessly with songs from their prior releases during the energetic and crushing set. The band revisited their 2005 debut EP You are the Conductor with back-to-back tracks “Quovis,” “Further Up,” and “Further In.” Listen to On Circles here.
